This is a group of 3 - fire insurance policies from the 1800's. You get all 3 vintage policies with your bid. The first is an 1880 Fire Insurance Policy from The LiverpooI & London & Globe Insurance Co. on old Parchment paper. Its a 5 year policy insured for 00 for a 2 story slate roof dwelling, 2 story addition, and a porch attachment including bedding, furniture, carpets, etc. in the Borough of Catasaqua, Lehigh County Pa. It measures about 19 inches high by 15 inches wide. Folds up perfectly. The second is an 1874 Fire insurance Policy for 00 from the Allen Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Allentown, Pa. Its for a building that housed a water powered Flour Mill in Treichlers, Northampton County, Pa. It includes machinery, fixtures, etc. It states that the water powered flour mill is located on the south side of the railroad station in Treichlers, Northampton County, Pa. At the bottom left there is a very neat embossed seal showing a "Fireman and Anchor" by the Allen Insurance Co. of Allentown. Vintage 1874 fire insurance document measuring 17 inches high by 14 inches wide. The third document is an 1885 insurance Policy from the Agricultural Insurance Company of Watertown, NY written on thin Parchment paper. Its a policy insured for 0 for Allen Township, County of Northampton, Pennsylvania for a 2 story slate roofed dwelling and stable. Interestingly, the policy says "Coal oil allowed for lights". It measures about 17 inches high by about 14 inches wide. Nice group of vintage fire policies. Low opening bid. Fast shipping.
