    Description

    Up for auction is a large artillery spotting telescope. It is 50 3/4" long in the closed position & extends to 61". The scope is made of a wood tube covered in a brown coated canvas material with brass mounts supporting the optics. There are no identifying markings but it was part of a Boer War group of items & we believe the elescope is most likely British. The condition is fair, there is wear & the main objecive lens is cracked. Despite the damage to the lens, the scope is still usable but the optics need to be cleaned.
