Antique Sterling Silver Bezalel Sabbath Jewish Wall Sconce Palestine Israel

Description

3 inches high, 4.75 inches wide. Circa 1920. Says "Holy Sabbath" in Hebrew. Reverse is hallmarked as shown. I've never seen a silver Bezalel wall sconce. All known are either in brass or copper, including in the Bezalel exhibit catalogs from 1983. Shown in the book photos are from the Israel Museum, which are a pair in brass that are blank compared to my one sconce, which says it is for the Sabbath. The measurements seen in the Israel Museum photos are in centimeters.
