    Description

Aston Martin DBR1, Le Mans 1959
The 1959 Le Mans winner Aston Martin DBR1, driven by Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby.
Salvadori, from Great Britain, raced in 50 Grands Prix.
He and Carroll Shelby passed away months apart in 2012.
The Aston Martin DBR1 was a sports racing car built by Aston Martin starting in 1956, intended for the World Sportscar Championship as well as non-championship sportscar races at the time. It is most famous as the victor of the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans, Aston Martin's only outright victory at the endurance classic. It also won the World Sports Car Championship in the same year.
Brilliant work by Benjamin Freudenthal, noted French automotive and aviation artist.
Benjamin brings a unique perspective and a bit of humor to his work, and enjoys recreating great moments from motor racing history.
Benjamin’s use of remarques, small vignette images
in the margin of his prints, add to the scene he is illustrating.
Signed numbered Limited Edition print, one of 350, printed in France on 300 gram anti-UV paper.  Size is 70cm x 50cm, about 28” x 20
