    Description

Rare hard-to-find antique early World War One brass double-sided trench cigarette lighter featuring images of a Red Cross rescue dog who has returned with a cap in its mouth to indicate it's found a wounded soldier on one side, and another dog urinating/peeing on an enemy German picklehaube spiked helmet on the other side. Based on the style of cap in the dog's mouth, I believe this is likely a British lighter. Flint wheel will turn, but needs oiling/lubrication and/or adjustment. Needs new flint. Lighter-fluid refill cap easily screws on and off. Approximately 2 1/8 inches tall, 1 3/4" wide, 1/4" thick. Collectible
collector collection, genuine original authentic, armed forces services military, English England Great Britain United Kingdom UK U.K., Royal Army, re-enactor re-enactment acting actor, movie theatre theater museum exhibit prop display, military working dog war dog sanitätshund medical dog, vintage VTG old WWI WW1, veteran retirement plaque shadowbox funeral internment burial, HTF, etc. Please see photos and/or scans for more on condition (and read eBay definitions). Flint wheel will turn, but needs oiling/lubrication and/or adjustment. Needs new flint. Pre-owned, normal to average wear.
