    Fantastic Walter Gotschke racing action scene showing the Auto Union Type C in a gritty 1930s road race.
    Gotschke's impressionistic gouaches were painstakingly researched and rendered to portray the true character of the car and the racing style and personality of each racing driver in dramatic racing situations. Gotschke's first race sketches were published in 1929 when he was seventeen years old, and he continued to paint thrilling automobile races scenes into his 70s.
